May 26, 2021 Queefing during sex not flatulence – Actress

Ghanaian fashion designer and actress, Ama Serwaa, has corrected men’s perception of the fart-like sounds that come from the vagina during sexual intercourse.

A lot of times, women produce fart-like sounds from their vagina during sexual intercourse especially during the ‘doggy’ position or when thrusting has gone on for long. When this happens, most women feel embarrassed because their partners tend to think they are farting.

Ama, Serwaa, during an interview with Adwen the Love Doctor on eTV Ghana’s adult show ‘In Bed with Adwen’, educated that the sound which is called queefing and not farting comes from the vagina and not the anus as men think.

“As you’re thrusting in and out of her vagina and the air condition or fan is on, air enters her vagina so as you thrust, the air comes out so that the penis can fill her hole and that is the sound you hear. It is not fart”, she said.

Ama noted that if men are very observant, they will feel it around the penis as the air comes out. She also added that for some women, they may not produce these sounds during the act but when she later lies down to relax, the air starts to come out by itself

To women who are uncomfortable with this, Ama Serwaa advised that they can work their vaginal walls by doing kegel exercises or squats.
