Pat Thomas’ Song Featured In Marvel’s Loki

Loki, Marvel’s newest MCU TV series, gave viewers a lot to think about in the season finale.

After (Spoiler Alert!) opening up the MCU’s multiverse in its concluding moments, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki also set up several future projects, including next year’s ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse; of Madness’ and 2023’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’

The sixth episode of Marvel’s intergalactic TV series was chock-full of Easter eggs and pop culture allusions from previous MCU films.

The majority of the secrets revealed by the showrunners in the last episode had deciphered by most observant viewers.

One easy-to-miss moment that will pique Ghanaians’ curiosity occurs right at the start of the program, which features many audio snippets in its introduction.

Some phrases from previous MCU films, notable quotations, and music clips were among the pins.

The songs “It’s been a long, long time” by Harry James and “Swan Lake” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky were readily identified; however, it was apparent that there were many more that were far more difficult to locate.

New Rockstars, a YouTube channel dedicated to footage breakdowns and easter egg searches, found a couple more tracks marvel utilised in the opening.

Pat Thomas, a Ghanaian highlife icon, and his band Marijata’s song “I can say” was also nominated.

Pat Thomas’ second album, “Pat Thomas Introduces Marijata,” was released in 1976, and the song is one of his best.

This jam-packed opening also includes Nina Simone’s “I Put a Spell on You,” Kylie Minogue’s “I Should Be So Lucky,” and Sohail Sen’s “Swag Saha Nahi Jaye.”

Abraham Attah, who played Peter Parker’s Academic Decathlon comrade Abe in 2017’s “Spider-man: Homecoming,” is the first Ghanaian actor to appear in a supporting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Listening Event Breaks Apple Streaming Record

Kanye West’s ‘DONDA’ listening party was sold out, but he packed in a lot more than that… No other musician has ever come close to matching his Apple record.

According to TMZ’s sources,… Ye’s album launch at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta earlier this week set a new Apple Music Global Livestream record… 3.3 million people tuned in to see the show on their televisions.

Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Listening Event Breaks Apple Streaming Record

That’s a lot higher than the previous record of 1.8 million viewers established by Gucci Mane and Jeezy in their highly-anticipated Verzuz duel earlier this year. As a solo artist, Kanye nearly quadrupled the number!

BTW, the ‘DONDA’ moment was a one-time deal — meaning it aired live for people to stream but hasn’t gone back up on Apple for folks to watch again. So, that figure — 3.3M unique sets of eyeballs — is a one and done. It’d be a little harder to calculate if the thing was in circulation.

According to our sources, after Kanye publishes Donda on August 6, the Atlanta performance will be uploaded on Apple for fans to watch again.

Even though the event is finished, Kanye’s party is still going on… he’s relocated inside MB Stadium (temporarily) to complete the record, as we previously stated. He was apparently so motivated by the atmosphere around him on Thursday that he just snuggled in and returned to work.

With all the excitement — and hard statistics to back it up — you’d think the album’s sales would follow suit… could maybe scale new heights that even Ye hasn’t seen before.
